Privacy is the biggest worry people have about technology and AI. Here's exactly how I handle it.

  • I'll never ask for your passwords. You type them yourself, and we pause screen sharing while you do.
  • I never take control of your computer. I guide, you click, so nothing changes without you seeing it.
  • We go over what's safe to share with AI first, before we use any AI tool together.
  • Your answers are stored privately in my own account. They're never shared or sold, and I'll delete them whenever you ask.
  • I'll never contact you out of the blue. You reach out first.
  • I'll never ask you to pay by gift card, wire transfer, or cryptocurrency.

About me

I'm Derek. I first taught technology at Apple, running one-on-one and group classes on Mac and creative software. Later I wrote and animated an anatomy and physiology education channel on YouTube, turning hard science into short explainers. The most-watched one has over 122,000 views. As a nurse, I spent years explaining complicated things in plain language to people who were worried. I've also been paid to grade AI models' answers side by side, so I know where these tools get things wrong. Ask me anything. You'll get a straight answer with no judgment.
